Paris Saint-Germain Academy Samui develops players from 4 – 18 years old. The mission is to contribute to players’ growth, on and off the pitch, and to be present at every stage of player development. Through dedicated programs, Paris Saint-Germain Academy coaches share technical and tactical knowledge to improve players’ skills and teach them to play smarter. Paris Saint-Germain Academy is focused on implementing the values of European football, in order to build its players.

Maraleina Shuttle Bus
For the training sessions at Maraleina Sports Resort in Bang Kao, we are offering a shuttle bus service from Chaweng to Bang Kao and back.
– Transportation fee: 1,500 THB per month (both ways)
– Excluding Saturdays
– Payment must be made in advance
– Monthly bookings only
– Minimum capacity: 13 passengers (if fewer, the bus will not operate)
– Maximum capacity: 30 passengers

The PSG Academy methodology focuses on developing well-rounded players who possess both technical skill and tactical awareness. It emphasizes the importance of intelligence on the field, encouraging players to think critically and make decisions independently. By nurturing creativity and unpredictability, PSG aims to produce players who can adapt to various game situations and innovate on the field. This approach aims to cultivate a deep understanding of the game, enabling players to analyze situations and find effective solutions autonomously.
Our coaches at PSG Academy Samui are certified by PSG Academy and hold football licenses from various football federations. Every coach is required to be certified under the FIFA Guardians Safeguarding Essentials as well as abide by Maraleina’s Safeguarding policy.
We pride ourselves in providing our children access to various coaches that have varied backgrounds. Some have experience working in professional football academies, in Africa, Brazil, Europe, Australia and the US, while others have more local experience. Some of our coaches have competed as professional players for clubs abroad, and in Thailand, while others have sports management and other degrees.
Additionally, as a PSG Academy, our coaches undergo yearly rigorous training sessions with the world technical director of football of the PSG Academy network, in order to ensure their training skills remain sharp, and continue to align with the PSG Academy methodology
At PSG Academy Samui, we uphold the PSG Academy methodology, renowned for its efficacy in optimizing player development and performance. Our training sessions, conducted both at our outlet in Chaweng and at Maraleina Sports Resort in Bangkao, are structured to bolster players’ skills and further development. All training sessions are prepared and analyzed in advance and are created according to the age category, respecting the PSG Academy methodology and the children’s growth and development process.
Moreover, we maintain regular communication with the world technical team of football at the PSG Academy network. This collaboration ensures that our training sessions meet high standards and enable us to receive valuable feedback on our coaching methods. In conjunction with the world PSG Academy technical team that visited Samui to understand our island better, it was recommended and determined that the length provided in our training session is sufficient for a child’s development across various growth, developmental and player engagement factors.
Additionally, we pride ourselves in providing sufficient staffing to pay attention and provide feedback to each player. By doing this, we focus on the quality of the training, keeping the players engaged, in a safe learning environment.

Locally, as a company that has been involved in football in Thailand for over a decade (which is also a part of the MOL), we have relationships with local academies in the region, and strive to provide our players with competitive opportunities, with both local, and foreign locations. Additionally, as Maraleina Sports Resort is our parent company, and it hosts many youth tournaments involving teams both from Thailand, and the region (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, etc) we have direct access to these valuable opportunities. Additionally PSG Academy Samui Cups are held several times during the year, also giving the option to participate in a competitive way.
Being a PSG Academy in Samui with a network of over 200 academies also offers players the chance to participate in international tournaments such as the Paris Saint-Germain Academy World Cup, and PSG Academy Selection Camp, providing valuable exposure and competitive experiences. This gives our children life long lasting moments, just like the professionals at Parc de Prince.
Absolutely, tracking our players’ progress is crucial for the PSG Academy. Conducting football evaluative tests allows our coaches to gather objective data on various aspects of our players’ performances. By systematically collecting this information over time, our coaches can monitor each player’s development, identify areas of strength and areas needing improvement. Additionally, creating and maintaining a database of player development enables our coaches to track long-term progress and provide valuable feedback to both players and parents. This structured approach helps ensure that players receive personalized attention and support to reach their full potential within the academy.
Absolutely. We provide individual player reports, offering insights into each player’s performance, strengths, and areas for improvement. This personalized feedback aids players in understanding their development trajectory. These individualized reports are provided to the players after completion of our football assessment at least every 3 months. Also our feedback is provided daily during training sessions and tournaments.
Yes, we are committed to improving and expanding our offerings at PSG Academy Samui located in Chaweng. In the near future, we will enhance and broaden the food and beverage options on-site, as well as upgrade the retail store within the premises. Additionally, as sustainability and our children’s needs are important to our company, we are committed to provide our children with complimentary water during their training in a sustainable way.
Maraleina Sports Resort in Bangkao as our parent company, provides access to a premier covered 7 a-side and open 11-a-side pitch as well as an 7 and 11-a-side natural grass football pitches. Additionally, older players at our academy have the opportunity to utilize the High Performance Center in Bangkao during special training sessions. This state-of-the-art facility is unique on Koh Samui and rare to find elsewhere in Thailand, offering advanced training equipment and resources to further enhance player development. We continuously strive to provide our players with the best possible training environments to maximize their potential on the field.
Yes, we offer a variety of weekend activities to complement our training sessions, fostering skill development, team camaraderie, and enjoyment for players. Due to Maraleina Sports Resort being our parent company, we provide our children with unique access to the world class facilities, that include the only private 11-a-side pitches on the island. With Maraleina’s focus on pre-seasons, there is a real opportunity that the academy players might be able to sight and bump shoulders with some of their footballing idols during the weekend!
Samui United Academy had operated since 2010 as an independent entity. In order to increase the access to our children on the island, Maraleina Sports Resort transformed Samui United to the PSG Academy Samui in March of 2024.
Samui United Academy prices had not been adjusted since 2013. Samui United Academy did not have access to the Maraleina Sports Resort, as the PSG Academy Samui shall have. For all of the value provided by the PSG Academy network, we have additional costs to pay to the license holder.
Despite the price adjustment, parents can rest assured that the PSG Academy Samui remains committed to providing service and competitive pricing on a not-for-profit basis.
We hope that an understanding of the inflation rate, devaluation of the Thai Baht, and capital investment required by the company to provide the benefits afforded to our children with the opportunity of having a PSG Academy in Samui, is evident.
Apart from the benefits that the PSG Academy network offers to our children, our company’s access to footballing opportunities within Thailand and abroad is a strong reason to consider our academy.
Maraleina Sports Resort has invested in youth football, having started the SUA Promaker project in 2018. We currently support and manage more than 60 players in Thailand, many of which have secured positions in the Thai national team. In order to facilitate their development, we own a third division football team – Maraleina Huahin FC.
Within our network, we have facilitated the signing of players in the Thai premier league clubs, and Europe. We have also facilitated scholarship opportunities to professional residency programs within Asia and Europe, for children looking to continue their football aspirations, with a solid scholastic foundation.
Jonathas Candido will be joining our team in September 2024 as Maraleina Sport Resort’s Head of Sports. His reputation having worked as the Head of Football at the British International School of Phuket – Cruzeiro esporte for over a decade will help us to continue in providing these opportunities to our children.

Worthy Rabenantoandro, our head coach, is a true football expert. He has dedicated his life to coaching and mentoring young players, and has amassed an impressive amount of experience over the years. Worthy has worked with children since 2007, and has been a part of some of the biggest and most successful football academies in the world.
He grew up in a football academy himself, and he knows first-hand how important it is for young players to have a nurturing and safe environment to develop their skills. This is why Worthy places a strong emphasis on child safeguarding in his coaching philosophy. He understands the responsibility that comes with being a coach, and takes the safety and well-being of each child under his care very seriously.
Aside from his expertise in child safeguarding, Worthy is also a highly skilled coach. He has helped train and develop many young players over the years, and his extensive knowledge of the game has allowed him to help players of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential. Worthy’s experience includes working as an assistant coach at several high-profile academies such as JMG Cote d’Ivoire, JMG Ghana, and JMG Madagascar. He also worked as an Academy Pro Maker at the Academy Pro in Antananarivo, Madagascar, where he helped develop some of the top young players in the country.
We are fortunate to have Worthy as our head coach, and we know that your child will be in good hands with him. He is passionate, dedicated, and highly skilled, and he will work tirelessly to help your child become the best player they can be.
Ney Fabiano is a passionate and skilled coach with a wealth of experience both on and off the pitch. He started his football career in Brazil, playing for various clubs before moving to Austria for a spell. In 2007, Ney moved to Thailand and signed with Thailand Tobacco Monopoly FC, where he quickly made an impact. He became the top scorer in the 2007 Thai Premier League with 18 goals, despite his team finishing in 6th place.
His impressive performance caught the attention of Chonburi FC, who signed him up for their 2008 AFC Champions League campaign. Ney’s success continued as he helped Chonburi FC reach the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Aside from his impressive football experience, Ney also has a strong background in child safeguarding. He worked for the Samui United Academy Promaker, which sponsored 89 children to stay with them full-time. This experience has given him a deep understanding of how to take care of and train children of all ages and skill levels.
Ney now runs our Maraleina Sports Resort Koh Samui Pro-Elite Youth Program, where he continues to use his expertise to help children develop their football skills while ensuring their safety and well-being. With his passion for coaching and his commitment to child safeguarding, Ney is an invaluable member of our coaching team.
Nawin Chingka has been involved in football for over 15 years, having started playing at a young age before eventually transitioning to coaching. He has worked with a variety of teams and organizations, including fast-food chain Subway where he developed his skills in customer service and teamwork.
In 2018, Nawin began coaching full-time with Samui United Academy, a local football club in Koh Samui owned by Maraleina Sports Resort Koh Samui (License holder of Paris Saint-Germain Acaddemy Samui), where he quickly established himself as a valuable member of the coaching staff. During his time there, he worked with youth teams to develop their skills and helped to foster a love for the game in each player.
Nawin then moved on to work as part-time coach for Samui United Academy while also taking on a role at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton hotel in Koh Samui. At the Ritz-Carlton, Nawin developed his communication and leadership skills.
In 2021, Nawin returned to Samui United Academy as a full-time coach, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from his time in various industries. He is passionate about football and dedicated to helping each player reach their full potential both on and off the field.
